Active Skype users from December 2024 through February 2025 who moved to Teams Free prior to December 1, 2025, retain Skype chat and call history within Teams Free. For users who prefer not to migrate, Skype provides an export portal to download chat history and media; export requests should be submitted promptly, since large exports can take up to 30 days and data deletion begins in April 2026. Export requests remain available until June 15, 2026, although full history may not be preserved after April 1, 2026.
